As a Gray Plant Mooty litigator, Dion Farganis advises clients in a wide variety of matters, including general and complex commercial litigation.
Dion brings a unique background to his legal practice. Before entering law school, he was a tenured political science professor, specializing in the study of American law and courts. He is the recipient of multiple teaching awards for his courses in constitutional law, and his research on Supreme Court confirmation hearings has been covered by major news outlets such as The New York Times and National Public Radio.
Dion left his professorship in 2014 to pursue a law degree, courtesy of a full merit-based scholarship from the University of Minnesota. While in law school, he was an editor of the Minnesota Law Review and worked for the University’s Office of the General Counsel. He graduated in 2017 with high honors, and was then selected to serve as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joan N. Ericksen, United States District Judge in the District of Minnesota. Dion is also a proud alumnus of Gray Plant Mooty’s summer associate program.
Dion lives in St. Paul with his wife and two children. He is an avid runner and golfer, and enjoys travel, playing music, and trivia.
