Tara Adams focuses her practice on the areas of employment, labor, and higher education law. She regularly counsels employers on a wide variety of employment law issues, including leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, drug and alcohol testing, employee discipline and discharge, anti-discrimination statutes, and allegations of harassment and misconduct, as well as labor issues, including unfair labor practice proceedings, grievance arbitrations, collective bargaining, and labor-related ERISA litigation. She also provides guidance on employment agreements, employee handbooks, affirmative action plans, and personnel policies. Tara has substantial experience defending clients throughout litigation in state and federal courts and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, and parallel state agencies.

Tara has experience serving as a Title IX coordinator, ensuring institutional compliance with Title IX by directing investigations, managing the adjudication process, and coordinating training, education, and prevention efforts. Tara also regularly conducts higher education investigations on behalf of institutions, including sexual misconduct investigations.
