Local Female Lawyers Team Up to Form Minnesota Chapter of International Association
Four women attorneys join forces to create local chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association
MINNEAPOLIS (January 16, 2019) – A group of female lawyers in the Twin Cities, including Gray Plant Mooty Principal Marnie Fearon, have joined forces to form the first Minnesota chapter of the internationally known Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA). Fearon’s collaborators in this endeavor include Dulce Foster of Fredrikson & Byron, Gretchen Gurstelle of Ballard Spahr, and Kristin Zinsmaster of Jones Day.
Marnie Fearon says, "I’m honored to serve alongside these women to launch a powerful local resource. As a whole, the white collar criminal defense practice area continues to be very male dominated. Having a Minnesota chapter of WWCDA will promote diversity in the profession, facilitate networking and business development, and provide a platform for educational programming."
The Minnesota chapter of WWCDA launched with a luncheon meeting on Monday, January 14, 2019 in Minneapolis. Future meetings and activities will to take place several times throughout the year. For more information about WWCDA, visit wwcda.org. To learn more about the Minnesota chapter, please contact Gretchen Gurstelle via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
